A picture from Glass Blowing on the Glass Lathe

A Manual of Basic Techniques

This is a spiral-bound reproduction of a now out-of-print book once published by the Bethlehem Apparatus Co. It contains a great deal of useful, practical techniques and information about the proper use of a glass lathe. It includes ten projects, with illustrations, from the simple to the complex. A variety of glass lathe techniques are presented, along with hints and tips for obtaining good results, including proper blowhose and carbon (graphite) tool use.

All the techniques described are applicable to any glass lathe - none are specific to any particular brand or model of lathe. The book presents a balanced, organized approach to working glass or pyrex on any glass lathe.

We are making this book available because it is so very hard to find.
